To our St. John’s family,

As relatively new members of this wonderful St. John’s family, we are grateful for the opportunity to grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and be part of a community committed to serving God and others. Even as we continue to learn and find our place among you, we can already appreciate the spirit of love, fellowship, and ministry that makes this church special.

In 2 Timothy 1:6, Paul encourages Timothy to “fan into flame the gift of God.” These words speak to each of us today. We are called not only to receive the blessings of God but also to nurture them and put them to work for His glory. As we enter our stewardship campaign, “Fanning the Flame,” we are reminded that a fire grows stronger and brighter when its fuel is increased. In much the same way, the ministry of our church is strengthened when each of us contributes our time, talents, prayers, and financial resources. Our giving is more than an obligation; it is a transformative expression of gratitude to God, a demonstration of our faith, and an investment in the work God has called us to do together.

We encourage each of us to prayerfully consider how we can help fan the flame of our church’s mission and grow that fire through increased giving. Increasing our giving helps keep the flame of ministry burning brightly. It supports our worship, strengthens our outreach, nurtures our children and youth, cares for those in need, and allows us to share the love of Christ beyond the walls of our church. Every gift makes a difference and every act of generosity helps carry our mission forward.

When we give with grateful hearts and a shared sense of purpose, our individual flames join together to create a powerful light. We recognize that we are joining a legacy of faithfulness built by those who have given, served, and sacrificed before us. We are excited about the opportunity to contribute to that legacy and to help ensure that the flame continues to burn brightly for generations to come. Our collective effort, deepening our commitment to God and one another, ensures that the light of Christ continues to shine brightly for generations to come
